Fundamental Fastener Training

The Fastener Training Institute’s core purpose is to enhance fastener use, safety and reliability. To that end we have put together both advanced and basic fastener training courses. Our fundamental fastener classes are taught yearly; dates for each class offered are listed on the Schedule of Courses page. Click on a class to view the course details and to register online.

Registration fees include:

• A full day of training in a small-group environment • Training materials to take back to the job, including an illustrated manual • Continental breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks • Certificate of completion

Three-Day Product Training Program

This three-day program was designed to teach employees in the fastener industry about the products they buy, sell and warehouse. While it is intended for people new to the industry, it will be beneficial for all who want to expand their knowledge. Each class is a full day of training. To complete the Product Training Program students must attend all three classes and pass a final take-home exam. Classes are taught by recognized industry specialists and include every- day hands-on case studies and lots of real-life information.

Product Training Program Part #1:

Fastener Basics

The new employee in the fastener industry faces a bewildering assortment of parts, each in a variety of sizes and finishes. To help smooth the transition from a mistake-prone rookie to an efficient member of your workforce, FTI offers this basic fastener class, which combines the highlights of the three-day Product Training Program into one full day of valuable, fundamental information.
