Aerospace Fasteners: An Overview

The Fastener Training Institute recently collaborated with the Industrial Fasteners Institute on the course content for this newly developed class. This comprehensive review has produced a class with both range and depth. Aerospace Fasteners – An Overview is a revamp of the FTI/IFI co-produced course. FTI is confident this new course will be applicable to a wide audience of aerospace fastener professionals. Scheduled for September 16-18, this 3-day course includes two days of classroom instruction with one full day of plant tours.

FTI Announces a new advanced fastener training course!

Structural Bolting Technology, taught by Carmen Vertullo, will help you prevent some of the most common mistakes and pitfalls involving structural bolting. Besides the course materials, attendees will receive a copy of the Structural Bolting Handbook by the Steel Structures Technology Center.

This interactive seminar, scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, is geared toward suppliers, purchasing and receiving, engineers, sales, fabricators, erectors, supervisors, installers, and special inspectors.

FTI Announces Online Training Courses!

The Fastener Training Institute is proud to announce a series of webinars on ‘need to know’ technical topics.

Our first webinar, Thread Fit Matters, featured Joe Greenslade, IFI Director of Engineering Technology. This live interactive webinar was well attended and gave participants a great opportunity to experience Joe presenting this important material. This was the first in a series of webinars on basic, critical, crucial fastener knowledge for distributors, manufacturers, importers, and end users, anyone who buys or sells fasteners.

Fastener Training Week will be offered four times!

FTI continues its partnership with the Industrial Fasteners Institute to offer this acclaimed training program four times in 2014 adding Spokane WA as the newest location.

The Certified Fastener Specialist program has over 340 graduates. This is the place for fastener training!

Product Training Program

FTI’s three-part Product Training Program consists of three different classes, each offered once a month starting every year in January. Again in 2014, we will present the three-part program a second time starting in June. These classes are a great way to introduce new employees to the fundamental fastener information they’ll need to be a productive member of your workforce. After many years out of print, our Basic Fastener Handbook once again is available. The 24-page guide is fully illustrated and includes an abundance of key information.
